The Ravenna City School System is comprised of a school dedicated to Kindergarten, Three elementary schools housing grades 1-5, One middle school housing grades 6-8 and one High School with grades 9-12. The High School is the newest facility, completed in 2010, and boasts not only a modern school building but also one of the premier high school football and track fields in the State of Ohio. The newly established STEM+M school known as BIOMED is a short 10 minute drive south in Rootstown.

Ravenna is surrounded by opportunities for higher learning. The ever-expanding nearby Kent State University is one of the largest Universities in the State University System. Hiram College located in northern Portage County is a private liberal arts college founded in 1850. The Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is 10 minutes south of Ravenna in beautiful Rootstown, Ohio. Northcoast Medical Training Academy is located 10 minutes west in Kent, Ohio. So no matter what career you are pursuing there's certain to be a facility that meets your needs close by.
