Leaf Pickup
As we officially begin the leaf pickup program, we want you to know that our crews will do everything they can to get the leaves picked up in a timely manner. The city does NOT have a schedule for this program, so please continue to check this calendar for any updates as to where the leaf trucks may be.
The leaf trucks are still in Ward 3 today. They will be moving in to Ward 4 at some point today as they are finishing up Ward 3 for this round. They will continue to pick up leaves in each ward until they feel that they have gotten through all of the wards and notice that all leaves have been picked up from the tree lawn area. Please make sure you have your leaves to the curb. Please place leaves on the tree lawn between the sidewalk and the curb. Please do NOT place leaves close to a telephone pole, street sign, etc. as the vacuum is not able to get close enough to those objects to pick up the leaves. The trucks are unable to pick up any leaves past the sidewalk as the arm only reaches 8-9 feet from the truck. Do not rake leaves out onto the road as this could make conditions very hazardous for vehicles and leaves could get down into the storm drains and clog them up. If you should have any questions, please contact the Service Directors office at (330) 296-6326.
