The Finance Department, under the direction of the Finance Director, is responsible for the accounting of all receipts, disbursements, and other financial transactions for the City of Ravenna.
In addition to accounts receivable and accounts payable, the Finance Department prepares payroll, processes purchase requisitions, oversees fixed assets, and represents the city in most financial matters in accordance with the laws governing municipal financial control.

INCOME TAX:
The Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) serves as the tax administrators and collection agency for the City. They also provide an easy-to-use electronic filing and payment system that is fast, simple, and secure.

TAX FACTS:
The municipal income tax rate is 2.5% on all wages and profits earned within the City limits. Residents are allowed a credit of 100% of up to 2.5% for taxes paid to other communities. The filing age is 18 and older
FINANCIAL REPORTING:
Results of the City’s fiscal operations are audited annually and presented in The City’s General Purpose External Financial Statements that are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The City’s annual audited financial statements are available at the Ohio Auditor of State’s website link below.
