The Director of Finance serves as the chief fiscal officer of the city and works with the Mayor and the City’s Department Heads in creating and preparing annual budgets that are presented to City Council for consideration and adoption. The Director of Finance assists the Mayor in monitoring the City’s financial performance and may recommend modifications or amendments, as necessary throughout the fiscal year. As a part of the ongoing budgetary management process, the Director of Finance is tasked with reviewing revenues, expenditures, investments, and debt to ensure forecasting objectives are being met.
