The Engineering Department

The Engineering Department provides the planning and designing for the construction of City public improvement projects. The department also lends technical engineering assistance to other city departments, such as Public Works, Parks & Recreation, and Community Development. Engineering also heads up the City’s extensive Roadway Program that includes annual paving, sidewalks, storm drainage, as well as roadway accessibility design.

In addition to being called upon to coordinate projects with local, state, and federal agencies, the Engineering Department also provides daily customer service and assistance to citizens in need of guidance and answers to their engineering questions and needs.
