Residents
Resources for Living in RavennaRavenna is just the right size community for people who want to enjoy the best of what both cities and small towns have to offer. The city of Ravenna offers residents plenty of places to go, activities to enjoy, and services that maintain a good quality of life – all without the congestion and hectic pace common in larger cities.
Residents have many living options to choose from: Close-knit neighborhoods that are close to downtown, shopping, churches, restaurants and other destinations. Our historic district encompasses both residents and businesses whose facilities uphold and showcase the treasures of our past. They can choose from new developments in more spacious, rustic settings.
Reed Memorial Library
Ravenna residents also enjoy Reed Memorial Library. In addition to borrowing media, the library offers patrons many services: Sensory playtime for infants-age 6, summer programs, walking tours, knitting club, blood drives, arts and crafts, free movie screenings, learning about technology like photo editing and so much more.
Activities & Events
Our population of just under 12,000 residents enjoy programs for all ages – from preschoolers to seniors – in our parks and recreation program that include athletics, wellness programs, hike and bike trails and a rec center. The city of Ravenna’s activity calendar keeps residents in the know for civic recognition awards, festivals downtown and elsewhere, art exhibits, concerts, historic walks, kids and family days, car shows, networking events and other activities.

Commitment to Education
Ravenna’s youngest residents benefit when we all come together to provide them with a good education. Our business, government, schools and residential communities partner to support student programs and provide students the means to succeed. A recent example from 2017 is the community’s overwhelming approval of a levy to improve building facilities and curriculum.
